Hack or Vertex? We analyze the differences between the most desired Bullpadel blades
As great fans of Padel, we love to comment on all the blades that go on the market, try them and analyze them. And today we come to that, since we have been testing in depth some of the most important rackets on the market for the 2021 season and we bring you the complete analysis with the differences between the Hack and the Vertex.
We will do two analyses, one for your standard model and one for your control alternative.
Analysis of the Bullpadel Hack 02 and Hack CTR blades
The new Bullpadel Hack 02 padel racket by the Sevillian Paquito Navarro for this 2021 comes to us from the Spanish brand Bullpadel , with a risky design combining blue, orange and black colors in shiny finishes. It is without a doubt one of the blades that is causing more talk, so we must take it into account for this season.
We begin this analysis with its specifications, keeping the Hack 2020 mold with a teardrop format to widen the sweet spot but with a high balance so as not to give up impressive power and get the most out of our punch. The racket has the mythical Hack bridge and incorporates the Bullpadel Vibradrive designed to reduce vibrations when hitting the ball and the Hesacore padel that adds unique comfort and touch, the latter perfectly removable in case it does not convince us of the all.
In the Hack Control we can see a risky design by Bullpadel, with somewhat different cosmetics based on reddish tones accompanied by blacks and grays and the Bullpadel logo in bright gold. It is a racket that does not go unnoticed.
The Hack Control is a highly recommended racket for drive players who want to keep track of points and who want to be strong defenders on the court. Like its offensive version, it incorporates its mythical bridge that will help us hit off-center balls, if we add to that its wide sweet spot we will make defensive tasks cost us less technical effort on rushed balls.
In terms of technologies, the Hack CTR includes the same as its offensive side, the main difference that we detect is its round shape and its low balance, which we can modify by adding the Bullpadel weights (they are not included with the racket) to earn some points extra in power.
Analysis of the Bullpadel Vertex 03 and Vertex CRT blades
In front of the weapon of the hurricane from the neighborhood of remedies ( Paquito Navarro ) we have the most desired racket by Padel players in recent years, the Vertex 03 , the cannon of El Tiburón de Villa Mercedes ( Maxi Sánchez ).
How could it be otherwise, the Argentine Máxi Sanchez renews a model with the Spanish brand and this year bringing to the world some more than interesting technologies that we have loved.
Starting with its lightness, this year Bullpadel has increased a new technology called Air React Channel in the Vertex models. This system helps us to reduce the air resistance when making blows such as the volley, which translates into more power thanks to the inertia that the racket gains when moving through the air with less resistance.
We also gain control in the 2021 version, since the racket weighs less because it does without a part of the bridge.
As for the rest of the racket, we can see that it is exactly the same in terms of mold and technologies used by the brand with respect to last year's Vertex. From the design, it should be noted that the roughness that was previously only found on the faces has now been transferred to the entire blade , both to the frame and to the bridge.
It also brings the famous built-in Hesacore . It seems very comfortable to us, but if you don't like it, it is perfectly removable. It is also possible to add custom weights , the system of weights that can be placed around the frame of the racket and in the handle of the racket in case we want to change the balance of the racket.
In opposition to this power racket we find the Vertex 03 CTR , which will be used during the 2021 season by the Argentine Federico Chingotto .
Taking a quick look, what has most caught our attention is its cosmetics, which despite seeming somewhat sober, stands out for the colors used both in the frame and in the Bullpadel logo, which changes color as the light falls on it . A beauty that we are sure you will love.
Aesthetics aside, the Vertex CRT, like the Hack CTR, does not vary much with respect to its offensive aspects, the only thing we can differentiate is its shape, which becomes round to offer us much more control on difficult balls. The low balance, closer to the fist, also helps us to reinforce that control and defense at the back of the track.
This racket is aimed at drive players , who like to handle the point but who also like to define with power.
And now the question that everyone asks when Bullpadel presents its new 2021 racket collection... Hack or Vertex?
We are going to try to answer this question in the simplest way possible or at least try to clear up all the doubts that can be created around it.
According to our feelings after testing the two blades, we see that the Hack gives us much more control when defending due to the bridge, its shape and its composition of Tricarbon and Multieva rubber. We can immediately notice how the racket absorbs the ball at the time of impact, causing it to fly off, thus offering us much more power when we hit the sweet spot, for example in shots or volleys.
If we have missed something in this new Hack, it is some kind of rough finish on the faces, such as the Vertex (sandpaper/sand type), this is obviously a personal opinion, but we would have liked that detail to print more spin to the ball, but if you like smooth blades with a glossy finish it will be a positive factor for you.
Another point to take into account that we can highlight is its weight, on paper it is around 365-380, but as soon as you play with it it gives you the feeling that it is a bit heavy racket, it is not something exaggerated but it is something remarkable. However, due to the technologies implemented, the opposite occurs in the Vertex , having a hollow bridge gives us the sensation of lightness and as soon as we start playing the ball, this is instantly noticeable, especially when volleying, we will notice how it is easier for us make the blows.
The Vertex is a little more difficult to master since it is harder than the Hack due to its 12k, but we will soon get hold of it, since its light weight and its Multieva rubber will help us adapt quickly, rewarding blows a lot more powerful as the auction.
In short, if what you are looking for is a more versatile racket that helps you defend at the bottom of the court without giving up a spectacular punch, without a doubt your racket is the Hack 02, if on the contrary you are a more skilled player and what You are looking to strengthen your definitions in the points and have a more aggressive game on the net, without a doubt the Vertex 03 is your racket.
