■Before deciding
They share the same family, shape, and balance. The Pro features 16K, 12K, or 3K SC Balance/Power carbon faces and is designed for professional players. The Elite switches to 3K Carbon SC Comfort and is half a point softer: it is more forgiving and provides more ball output, for advanced players.
The big news is the Obsidian, a new control family that replaces the Trilogy and introduces a teardrop-shaped mould. In addition, all six high-end families (Obsidian, Valkiria, Diablo, Electra, Pegasus and Fenix) come in Pro and Elite versions, and the new Tsunami (Go range) arrives for players who are progressing.
Franco Stupaczuk plays with the Electra, Leo Augsburger with the Fenix, Tino Libaak with the Diablo, Alex Chozas with the Pegasus, and Sofía Araújo with the Valkiria.
The most control-oriented is the Obsidian: teardrop shape, low balance, and a 5/10 feel in the Pro. The most powerful is the Fenix Pro: diamond shape, high balance, and a 10/10 feel. Between the two, each family steps up one point in hardness: Valkiria 6, Diablo 7, Electra 8, and Pegasus 9 in their Pro versions.
Only the design. Obsidian Pro (Black and Silver), Diablo Pro (Metallic and Marine Blue), Electra Pro (Red and White), Pegasus Pro (Black and Silver), and Fenix Pro (Purple and Black) have the same construction and performance in both versions; some have a glossy or satin finish.
The Valkiria (Pro and Elite) comes down to 340–360 g and is the high-performance racket designed for women players. For players who are progressing, the Tsunami Go Hybrid Air also weighs 340–360 g and has the softest feel in its range.
