To complete the process, you must first make a stop along the way at one of the Autonomous Padel Federations. Although there are also private courses, in each of the Padel Federations of Spain there are recurring calls to obtain the title of Padel instructor.
The Federation also teaches level 2 and 3 coach courses but to get here you must first have passed the official Level I Padel Monitor course. The training is aimed at those who want to start teaching Padel technique and tactics .
How to obtain the title of Padel instructor step by step
The regulations dictate that the two minimum requirements imposed by the Spanish Padel Federation to access the course are to be over 16 years of age and to be a graduate of Secondary Education (ESO) or an equivalent qualification.
The next phase before starting the course will be to pass the specific entrance tests. The first screening consists of the technical evaluation of forehand and backhand shots, volleys, wall shots and layups. From the control of theracket, the evaluator determines if you can start taking the theoretical blocks of the course.
The duration of the training has a charge of 285 hours. The total calculation is divided into theoretical hours and practical hours. Due to this volume of content, many courses have intensive weekend schedules or weekday schedules. An example is the case of the Madrid Padel Federation, which facilitates enrollment for students in training programs in both modalities.
The training plan distributed by areas includes general basic concepts on Padel, didactics applicable to Padel sessions or technical and tactical improvement for initiation into the sport. With the information obtained, the students take an exam on each of the theoretical blocks that they have to pass successfully.
Once the theoretical blocks are finished, it will be necessary to complete 150 hours of practices that can be developed in clubs authorized by the Federation. A tutor, in charge of supervising the practices, will certify and qualify the complete completion of this period.
Private Padel Courses
The FEP courses are not the only way to obtain an accredited title as Level I Padel Instructor. It is possible to achieve the same degree of training knowledge through private courses, such as through Euroinnova. Other highly successful private courses are the HAC monitor course (training taught by Horacio Álvarez Clementi) or PádelMBA (course attended by Manu Martín). Likewise, one of the distinctive elements of the private modality is the possibility of taking the course online.
The schools and private courses of the Padel Monitor course suppose a study load very similar to that provided through the Autonomous Federations and also provide an accrediting title after the completion of it.
As a complement to the Padel Monitor course, there are schools that combine this training with sports coaching courses and qualifications. The synergy complements the student to continue training in didactic areas of people management.
Autonomous Padel Federations
Currently, the Autonomous Padel Federations are in charge of organizing and teaching the Level I Padel Instructor courses. The Padel Federation of the Valencian Community (FPCV), the Madrid Padel Federation or the Padel Federation of Castilla y León are three of the multiple federations in charge of imparting the training.
Each of the Federations launches, quite frequently, courses to achieve the title of Padel teacher. They even frequently call for scholarships to encourage enrollment in these training actions.
Additionally, the Autonomous Federations also teach courses to obtain titles of Level 2 and 3 Padel Trainer or Judge-Referee.
How long does the Padel instructor course last?
The Padel instructor course of the Spanish Padel Federation lasts 285 hours divided between theoretical blocks and practical load.
